Live His Love

I want

to be able to love on people like they have never been loved on before. Because in all honesty that is what Jesus would do. He loves people that are so unlovable more than humanly possible. We are called to become more like Christ and less like our flesh. My spiritual desire, due to the holy spirit that lives inside of me, urges me to love people the way Jesus does and would if He walked this earth right now. So from this day forward, lets love people in every way possible. You don’t know if you will be  the only love that person receives that day. Whether it is opening a door for them, making them coffee, or something huge, they will be changed in a small way. LOVE. It does big things, Love is what drove Jesus to the cross, Love is what held him there. God rejected and turned His back on His own son, so that He wouldn’t have to turn His back on us. Believe. That is the Gospel.

Forever Changed

If our greatest need had been information, God would have sent an educator. If our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent us a scientist. If our greatest need had been money, God would have sent us an economist. But since our greatest need was forgiveness, God sent us a Savior.

God, You are so good. Roughly 2011 years ago You sent Your son to live a perfect 33 year life for one purpose: To live the life, die the death, and rise with eternal victory laying death in it’s grave. You accomplished what You promised and You will come back to take us home again. We await Your coming Lord, come quickly. 

Once Again

I am amazed and overwhelmed by God’s timing. I don’t really know why it surprises me every time, maybe because of how little i can wrap my mind around. He says in His word, ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be answered to you. I asked and i sought God’s face because of the prompting of the spirit He has put inside of me. &God being who He is, answered, and just so happened this time it was rather quickly. Sometimes i think i become lazy with my prayers because i don’t necessarily see what God has in store and planned out at the time. I am a child of little faith and i desire to have faith like a child. So with that being said. God is giving me opportunities to exercise that faith that i have been so desperately pleading for. Upon having the opportunity to attend GCU, i asked God to show me what He would have in store for me there and what exactly He wanted me actively doing to bring Him glory. &Now after being here 2 days, a door has been opened up. Yes, it would take sacrifice and effort. But would be well worth it, something God has been raising me up for since He brought me into being. What a beautiful picture that is. He has the plan, we are called to obey. Thank You Jesus For Your Never Ending Faithfulness.

Dang. Talk about hitting home. Its so often that I find myself trying to ‘meet the requirements of being a Christian’. Rather than taking my time and just seeking God for who He is, I waste my time trying to figure out what He wants. When in reality God sent His son to die on the cross because He solely loved us so much, He chose to close the gap between God and man. Doing this to give us a way to be in communion with our Creator once again. What a beautiful picture this paints for us. In response to this quote from Oswald Chamber’s devotional My Utmost for His Highest, it got me thinking about what I choose to devote myself to. Instead of devoting myself to useless worldly things that in the end will bring no satisfaction, I should, with all effort and force, run to the foot of the cross. Where I will be assured of complete satisfaction in the God that died upon that cross for me. That is a devotion worthy of being devoted to. Jesus Himself.
